Letter to Japanese Participants – Living Out the Greatest You

Letter to Japanese Participants – Living Out the Greatest You

Amy Choi, Hong Kong, China, Sep. 1, 2015

Dear friends and participants in Japan,

I am glad that after offering Five Animal Play Metaphor Balances: Living With a Playful Heart for three times in Japan, the second workshop of the Qigong Movement Balance Series Yi Jin Jing Metaphor Balances ¡V To Live Out the Greatest Me, is about to be launched the first time in Japan in November 6-8 this year.

As the title suggests, in this workshop, we will focus on exploring who you are and who you want to be ¡V the Greatest You! In 3 days, you will be exploring and balancing the dreams and goals you want to accomplish ¡V and how you are going to do it, with balance and flexibility ¡V using a classic set of Qigong, Yi Jin Jing, which is thought to be developed by the Indian Buddhist Monk Dharma, the originator of the Shaolin martial arts tradition in China.

What are your dreams? Who would you like to be? What is the Greatest You? What is the right size of your dream for you? What is the right speed of accomplishing it? Are you having too much or too little? What is the right balance for you?

In the workshop, you will do 11 balances, looking at your dreams and balancing it from many perspectives, using the metaphors of Yi Jin Jing. These metaphors are:

Stock up the tendency
Set the tone
Choose the goal
Set the stage
Set the boundary
Take Control
Attend to the basics
Focus at what you want
Own your achievement
Always be grateful
Ride on the trend
One of the participants in Hawaii who love birds have decided to open a bird farm after taking the workshop! She has always had that dream, but she finally decided to do it in her 60s – after taking the workshop!

About Yi Jin Jing itself, my personal experience of the movements has been great. This is the second set of Qigong I have been practicing everyday for more than one year after Five Animal Play Qigong. I love it. It has helped me gain flexibility. Some of my students in Germany and Hawaii also have reported flexibility in joints and lessening of knee and shoulder pains after doing Yi Jin Jing and the balances for 3 days. This set of ancient qigong movements focus on the training tendons, ligaments, and fascia. The movements are calm and quiet ¡V and are done with latent strength. We work on the tendons to regain their natural optimal lengths so that the natural optimal movement ranges of the body are restored.

I am looking forward to teaching this workshop in Japan in November. Let’s balance for your dreams – enhancing you to live out the Greatest You, with Yi Jin Jing movements and metaphors. Click here for details.

See you in November!

Love,
