Let Our Best be Known

I shared my understanding and experience in combining kinesiology and traditional Qigong of China with more than 40 senior practitioners in martial arts, Tai Chi and Qigong in the Song’s Taichi and Martial Arts School in Hong Kong today. I gave a brief talk on the Tiger Gripping movement of Health Qigong’s Five Animal Play, its relationship with liver and Touch for Health Kinesiology, and how to use metaphor to apply monkey’s agility in daily life. During the talk, I also gave a demonstration on balancing.

The martial arts practitioners who attended the event showed keen interest in the topic and were very excited about the demonstration and exercises. After the talk, some of them asked me how to overcome challenges in their qigong training and how to solve health problems.

I am delighted to have the chance to give a sharing to senior practitioners in martial arts and Qigong. I am grateful for the invitation by Mr. Song Wen, the founder of Song’s Taichi and Martial Arts School and the vice-chairman of Health Qigong Association of Hong Kong China, and his wife Ms Xu Yuanbi who has won numerous qigong exercise awards, and who is a senior National Health Qigong referee and my Health Qigong coach.

I believe the combination of kinesiology of the west and traditional Qigong of China will enable the traditional techniques of our country to be further modernized and applied in daily life, and to become more provable and practical. At the same time, it would enable kinesiology to be better understood and known by people in the east. The most important thing is to enable people to improve their health and quality of life through Qigong Movement Metaphor Balancing.

The Qigong Movement Series of Qinesiology will be held in different places of the world this year: “Five Animal Play Metaphor Balances: To Live with a Playful Heart” in Shenzhen in March, Dalian in May, Germany in June; “Yi Jin Jing Metaphor Balances: To Live Out Your Greatness” in Hawaii in April, Germany in June and Shanghai in December. Apart from continuing to study and develop this series, I would like to further enhance and internalize my knowledge and understanding in movements through participating in competitions.
