A Speech on Ming’s Mirror Method
Amy Choi, Sep. 29, 2015, Banff, Canada
The kinesiology faculty meetings and the International Kinesiology Conference that lasted for 10 days in Banff, Canada have ended. I would like to report and share a speech that I gave during the conference on September 24, 2015. The title of the speech was “Ming’s Mirror Method – Listening and Moving With the Client in the Field from Within”.
The origin of Ming’s Mirror Method and the moment of “enlightenment” took place in early September 2010 during the first Authentic Woman workshop in Beijing. On the second day of the course, I was massaging a client’s spine. Suddenly, I discovered a type of ability that involved all the senses to see, to listen, to move, and to resonate with the client in the field. It was a type of balancing technique that reflected the story of the client with my own body.
Since then, I have used this method for 189 cases in 14 “Authentic Woman” and “Living Out Your Authentic Self” workshops of the “Authentic Self Series” in China and Japan. In addition, I have used the method for more than 300 cases of consultation and self balancing. For the first two years that I started to use this method, the messages I received were mainly proprioceptive (movement) and did not involve much talking. Students could not quite understand what I was doing. From the third year onwards, I have been receiving more and more auditory and visual messages, and so I talked more and more. Also, I felt that I needed less and less effort and entered into a clearer and clearer state of mind during the process. The students in turn understood the method better. I named this method “Ming’s Mirror Method” last year, and published it for the first time during this year’s International Kinesiology Conference.
In my speech, I explained the difference between the movements of “Ming’s Mirror Method” and movements in general, the source of mirroring power, and the seven kinds of Qi movements: up, down, out, in, focused, scattered, and transformed. I also talked about the attention scope, characteristics, crucial elements and points to note of mirror balancing. I then did a demonstration on the balancing method.
The volunteer for demonstration was an elderly Canadian lady. At the beginning, her movements were a bit rigid, but she caught up gradually. The story that emerged was that she needed purple light in her life! She felt very contended after the completion of her case. Subsequently, I learnt that this lady had a doctorate in research on how energy healing could help women with migraine. She said in her feedback that she felt she had entered into a realm of hypnosis, feeling great and wonderful.
There will be another breakthrough for “Ming’s Mirror Method” in January next year. I plan to launch a course on “Ming’s Mirror Method” for the first time in Germany. This method will be formally introduced in the context of a workshop and not casework training.
I believe more people could learn and benefit from “Ming’s Mirror Method”.
