My Feelings After Attending Authentic Female Workshop – A Proprioceptive Perception Method Was Clear Like a Mirror

I had just attended the second level of the Authentic Self Series, Authentic Female Casework workshop, in a beautiful seaside resort hotel organized by the Shenzhen Shenxinpingheng Studio. I gained what was expected and, at the same time, more than expected. After coming home for two weeks, I felt that my heart was as tranquil, embracing and extended as the open sea. The sunshine kept on warming me up, reminding me of the feelings at the workshop. I felt that my love with my husband, after 20 years of knowing him, had started to flow again. The ambience at home felt warmer. My stiff spine got a complete turnaround, and my constipation disappeared, though nothing was done directly on these particular issues. I had gained a lot, and thus would like to share with friends.

Since 1999, I had entered in the training field, experiencing different aspects of personal growth along the way. I had attended many workshops by masters: coaching technology at the start, NLP, Family Constellation, Hypnosis, Gestalt Therapy, Psycho Drama, Satir Model, TA, Awakening Your Potential by HAVEAN Institute of Canada, and in recent years, kinesiology being my focus. The “Proprioceptive Perception Balancing Method” (a name which I have made up based on my limited knowledge) developed by Teacher Amy Choi, using her professional experience and special talent, had the following uniqueness:
Group balances during the class: With the matter, energy and information of female existence as the theme, Amy facilitated the group to resonate from the female identity at all levels – from the body, to emotions, to the spirit and then back on “ground” to our daily lives. The participants had the chance to facilitate the growth of one another on common issues!
Participants had the chance of doing an one-on-one balance with Amy, which was more targeted in the growth and healing of each individual. Other participants with common issues had the opportunity to gain inspiration and increase awareness during the process. While doing these balances, Amy as the facilitator was also taking care of the whole group simultaneously.
During the balances, Amy herself acted like a “mirror”, clearly reflecting the submerged emotions, patterns and blocked energies of the client.
Amy also acted like a “channel”, bringing higher wisdom to the client and the participants. Sometimes, when Amy was doing the balance, she was like a master or a zen monk, delivering important “zen messages” that were full of wisdom. Afterwards, Amy shared that in her daily life, these were not her usual ways of expression.
Amy was also an explorer: in the process, Amy would share what she experienced in her body, mind and emotions with the client. When there were doubts, she would explore them with the client, leading the latter into a deeper level of awareness.
Amy is also a holographic representative: like the processes in the Satir Model or Family Constellation, Amy would use different role representatives while facilitating balances, revealing the states of the client or others involved in the balances. I believed that because of the more balanced state of Amy, she was a clearer and more reflective “mirror”, and thus her revelations should contain less projections and subjectivity from her own personal standpoint. This led to a clearer reflection of the truth, which helped the growth and transformation of the client more.
Amy’s special “proprioceptive perception” transcended the barrier of the mind, pointing directly to the core. The growth of self is like an onion growing, adding one layer after another outwards. Sometimes, what we thought of as the problem was only at the surface. During the session, Amy would not ask the client what kind of problem she wanted to solve. Instead, she used her special “proprioceptive perception” to locate the energy blocks deep inside, from where she would start the balancing process. The results were out of the expectations of the client. Overtly, only the deep issue was directly addressed, and surprisingly, the superficial issues would be resolved on their own, too!

As a conclusion, I am a beneficiary and really wish that more female friends can benefit from the Authentic Self Series of workshops, and to experience the joy of growth! The female is the soul of the family. If the soul is uplifted, the quality of the whole family will be improved.
