Confirmation of the dates for the first International Kinesiology Conference in China

By Amy Choi, Kirzcharten, Germany, September 29, 2017

On September 28, 2017, Touch For Health Faculty of International Kinesiology College (IKC) Amy Choi announced to other IKC faculty members gathering at Kirchcharten, Germany, that the first International Kinesiology Conference in the Greater China area will be held on 15-18 October 2020 with the theme “Life-Long Learning”. City will be announced later.

Through choosing the theme “Life-Long Learning” for “2020 Vision”, the conference organizers wish to explore how kinesiology can support the acquisition and application of knowledge which people need for their entire lives, and how kinesiology can help the development of life skills and attitudes.

Conrad Ho and I have been preparing for an international conference through organizing regional conferences for the Greater China area in 2016 and 2017. These projects are enabling us to organize and improve ourselves through our cooperation and training mechanisms, and to facilitate the growth of human resources such as kinesiology instructors and consultants, marketing and administrative talents, experts for research and development, etc.

We also wish that more people coming from different sectors could have a clear picture on how kinesiology can be applied to our daily lives, learning and work, and to come to the realization that kinesiology is a very practical subject. It helps develop our physical and mental health as well as happy life. We sincerely invite those who are in the field of Kinesiology to invite their friends to experience the benefits of it.

Greater China is also the birthplace of part of the basic concepts of Touch For Health (such as the theories of Yin and Yan, Five Elements, Meridian and the theories of traditional Chinese medicine in health promotion). Besides inviting faculties to come to China to spread their kinesiologies, Amy also invited them to experience the tradition of Chinese culture and to experience how we live out these concepts.

I believe that the coming three years will be a critical period for the practitioners of kinesiology to do their best from the big picture to details, to improve quality and to learn to mutually support each other. Let us do the best for ourselves, to welcome the first international kinesiology conference in China!
