Brain-body Approach Rising – University Students and Civil Servants Seek New, Playful Ways to Integrate the Brain

In October, I had a chance to conduct two highly interactive Double Doodle for Development seminars for 200 staff of the Hong Kong Housing Authority (HA), and another Brain Gym introductory seminar for 100 year-one students at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Both groups wanted to know new whole-brain learning skills and how to apply these skills to improve their lives. While a few young science students were doubtful of how these simple techniques could work so miraculously to shift the way how people respond to stresses, most of them felt the effects, and got the idea that a relaxed and integrated brain is important for their learning, and especially for the examination they were facing. The staff of HA jumped right into the artistic, creative and playful process of drawing and painting with both hands from the very beginning. They all brought their masterpieces home. It was great!
