The Power of Sound
Amy Choi
I have noticed that there are certain kinds of music that drive me anxious, while others calm me down; some elicits joy, others, sadness. Sound, just like any other forms of energy such as electricity, magnetism and light, are vibrational patterns. These patterns will affect the vibrations within cells of our bodies.
In some kinesiologies, like Touch for Health, sound is used to promote health and restore balance. For instance, the sounds of laughing, singing, groaning, shouting or crying become correction techniques to restore emotional and muscle imbalances. Recently, I came across another kinesiology method where tuning forks of different pitches are used as balancing tools. This is truly amazing!
I invite readers to think about these: what is the predominant sound that you are making as an individual? Are you mostly uttering sounds that create harmony or disharmony, resonance or dissonance? Then think about your life: Is your life a reflection of the sounds you make? For example, if you are always sounding complaints, is your life full of things to be complained about? One way to move forward and better your life is to consciously making sounds that harmonize in each moment. You will be amazed by the power of your own sounds on re-creating the realities in your life.
